New Americana/Roots singer-songwriter Niki Lou Savich is set to release her debut album, Million Tears, on Friday, October 11, 2024. This deeply personal and soul-stirring collection of songs promises to resonate with listeners profoundly, offering both comfort and hope amid sorrow.
The album, recorded at The Poole Room in Franklin, TN, is a 12-song journey born from Niki Lou’s experiences with grief and loss. Each track, woven together with themes of faith, suffering, and God’s ever-present grace, reveals the raw emotions of the human heart while also capturing a spirit of resilience and hope.

Following the release of her debut single, “Valley Of Shadow And Light,” and its poignant follow-up, “Home,” Niki Lou Savich has continued to build anticipation for Million Tears. While the singles gave listeners a glimpse into her ability to balance the heaviness of death with the brightness of eternity, the full album expands on this dichotomy, blending genres like bluegrass, Americana, folk, and gospel.
Drawing on a wide array of influences–including bluegrass, Appalachian roots, Native American, and Celtic sounds–Million Tears showcases Niki Lou’s diverse musical background and lyrical depth.
“Hardest Goodbye” is a deeply personal revealing of feelings and experiences gone through during the loss of a loved one. The lyrics share precious last words spoken during this deathbed vigil, while the music carries us through this parting of ways. The affirmation that death is not the end of love and relationship brings a comfort that we all long for when we must say our hardest goodbyes.
With lyrics based on Psalm 139: 7-12, “With Me” gives a comforting answer to those unbearable feelings of abandonment and aloneness that we sometimes experience in our lives. Even as the haunting melody expresses so well that all-alone feeling, the underlying heartbeat rhythm comforts us like the beating of another heart. Because of God’s unfailing promises, we know that we are never alone, no matter where we find ourselves in life.
