About Me

Hailing from Poplarville, MS, Niki Lou Savich has taken a circuitous route landing her in a place she never expected--making music in Nashville, TN. This poet-turned-songwriter has mapped a colorful course of places lived and experiences gained, providing a lifetime of fodder for the rich depth of lyricism she weaves together with her roots-style melodies. Though she lays claim to past professions as diverse as modeling and natural therapeutics, it is Niki Lou's most recent experience of caregiving for the elders of her family that proved to be the catalyst for sharing her songwriting with the world.

On her debut album, MILLION TEARS (October 11, 2024), Niki Lou Savich pours out her heart and soul in sharing her own experience of walking by the sides of loved ones through death's door. The range of feelings intrinsic to bluegrass, Appalachian, Americana, gospel, and folk music became the natural melodic conveyance for a wide range of emotional expression embodied in these twelve original songs. Two of the album's songs are co-written with Nashville Christian Songwriters' founder and president John Chisum. Through his four decades-long connection with the Nashville music scene, John introduced Niki Lou to the legendary Gordon Mote, who produced and arranged MILLION TEARS while performing alongside some of Nashville's finest musicians for the album. Niki Lou is honored to be a member of the NCS Collective and is currently working yet again with Gordon Mote on her second album, to be released in 2025.
